According to Lloyd, the leading West Indies players had become too "greedy" for their own good and their performances failed to measure up to the "obscene" amount of money they are getting paid. "When you say the West Indies team is going to withdraw from a series it is not that they are short of money. I could not agree with him more. I am siding with WICB on this one! It is clear to me that money is more important than the pride in representing your territory. Left to WIPA, there would be no money for development, all will go into the pockets of the players whose performance does not match their greed.
